If it seems too fast, try pausing the content first of all, and make sure to only tap the Fast Forward button once or twice, and tap the Play button to resume. On my Joey, when using the DVR, my fast forward is skipping 1 minute instead of 30 seconds. Then, when I try to rewind, it instead actually skips ahead.
