I have heated a loose field tip and then screwed in quickly so it heats insert first. Rap it out with a brass rod or gun cleaning rod that fits ID from nock end. I shot the Black Eagle half-outs the last few years and always had to scrap a few arrows by the season start. So far with the HITs all continue to spin true (I used Easton 75gr).
