Cura not heating extruder
WebJun 18, 2024 · Replace the M109 with M104. This is not a Cura thing but a firmware thing. Cura insures that there won't be a cold extrusion when starting a print by inserting the heating commands if there are no keywords in the StartUp gcode. If there are keywords regarding the temperatures then the StartUp Gcode is an over-ride available to any user. Web2 Ender 3 Pro, PLA, temps 200 °C and 60 °C. I want to not heat the nozzle until after Auto Bed Leveling (CR Touch) is complete. I can do that in the start G-code, but by then, Cura has already heated the nozzle to the temp specified under material and filament starts oozing out during bed leveling.

WebJan 23, 2024 · The design is there so your printer does not try to extrude cold. As has been shown in this thread, if your start gcode snippet contains a heatup-sequence, then Cura will not add its own. So you can in fact choose: convenience or control. But you can also choose to use different software. WebAlso use this video as a tutorial, same problem that's when I started to use the calibration plugin with the PLA temperature tower. The only way I have found to change temps is to use the change temp at z level option in the menu or to find a ender 3/pro gcode file but even then I don't trust everything to be the same.
